MSC teams that attend tournaments are always encouraged to file tournament reports with the Club   webmaster   so that the Club might accumulate a repository of past tournament experiences as a means of guiding future teams in deciding which tournaments to enter. IV. The Tournament Czar’s Quickie Tournament Guide and Recommendations for U9 and U10 Teams (“A” team in parenthesis means that the tournament is more serious; either because of the competition level or the quantity of days):

Winter - Soccer Coliseum (don’t get creative - nothing beats it) and Soccer Palace
Late Winter/Early Spring (outdoor) – Iona College (narrow fields, but at least outdoors)
Spring (early May) – La Grange Cup (good alternative or supplement to Memorial Day Tournament)
Memorial Day – East Fishkill, Scarsdale, Massapequa (A teams)
Pre-Fall Season Tune-up – East Meadow Ref Fuel (week before LD – then have LD to yourself)
Labor Day – Yorktown (short and sweet…play and go back to the beach)
Columbus Day – North Hempstead (A teams – lots of games), Poughkeepsie, FC Westchester
Halloween – JPSC (worth doing for the foliage alone…..beautiful setting, bring spiked cider)
