Coach's Biography

Jay Myers: Coach Myers joined the MSC Pride in the summer of 2009 and lead us to a third place, and undefeated season in NERP with only 4 goals against. He is currently an assistant coach at Iona College, a division I program in the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). In 2009, Myers was an assistant women's coach at Division 1 Manhattan College. Prior to coaching at Manhattan College, Myers worked as the women's assistant coach at Pace University. Before Pace, Myers worked at Dominican College, where he served as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's soccer programs. Myers has also been a head women's soccer coach, serving in that position for three years at Bard College from 2005-07. He led the Lady Raptors to the semifinals of the conference tournament in his first season. The following year, he guided his team to an 11-4-1 record, falling one game short of qualifying for the NCAA Tournament. Prior to Bard, Myers was the assistant women's soccer coach at Marist from 2003-04 and served time as interim head coach in 2005. He is a Staff Member of the NSCAA and instructs the NSCAA State, Regional, and Advanced Regional Diplomas. He currently holds the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA )Premier, National, Advanced National, and Advanced Goalkeeping 1 Diplomas. Coach Myers is a Staff Member of the NY State ODP as well as the Empire State Games, and Head Women's Scholastic Soccer Coach for the Hudson Valley Region. He led the Hudson Valley to the Finals of the Empire State Games for the first time in a decade. The Hudson Valley received the Silver Medal in 2007 as well as the Bronze Medal in 2005 and 2006. Myers was Director of Coaching of Middlepath FC leading the BU10, BU18, BU19/U23 Premier Teams as Head Coach . In the last four years these teams have been ranked in the top four in NY State. Myers has a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from Marist College, an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from Dutchess Community College, and an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design from Dutchess Community College.
