MSC Ajax (BU17) defeated Ramapo Valley, 3-1, to advance to the Open Cup Finals.  This is the third appearance in the State title game for Ajax, who've already captured two State championships, in 2009 and 2010.  Ajax is coached by John Lathan.  Ajax will play Northport in the State finals in two weeks.  The boys will be looking for some payback, as Northport shocked Ajax last year in the State Cup semis, winning 3-2, after Ajax had won the prior two State Cup titles. Ajax will advance to the Regional Championships in late June, regardless of the State Cup final result, because they recently won the prestigious Region One Premier League championship, which serves as an automatic bid to the Regionals. Ajax has advanced to the Regional Championships four consecutive years, which is by far a MSC club record, and one of the most impressive runs in NY State history.

MSC PSG 95 (BU16) defeated Hempstead, 3-2, to advance to the Open Cup Finals.  This is the second and consecutive appearance in the State title game for PSG 95.  PSG lost a heartbreaker to Massapequa last year in the finals, 1-0.  PSG 95 is coached by Ray Selvadurai. PSG 95 will play local rival and powerhouse, Downtown United (DUSC), in the State finals in two weeks.

MSC PSG 96 (BU15) defeated NY Soccer Club, 4-1, to advance to the Open Cup Finals.  This is the second and consecutive appearance in the State title game for PSG 96.  PSG lost to Smithtown last year 2-0, in the finals, but did qualify for the Regional Championships because they captured the Premier League title. PSG advanced all the way to the Regional Championships title game last year, which is the equivalent to the National quarterfinals, before losing in OT, again to Smithtown.  PSG 96 is coached by Wilson Egidio. PSG 96 will play the same Smithtown rival in the State finals in two weeks.

MSC Cruzeiro (BU14) defeated Clarkstown in a wild match, 5-3, to advance to the Open Cup Finals.  This is the first appearance in the State title game for Cruzeiro, who came close last year, when they were beaten in the State Cup semifinals by eventual State champion, Dix Hills, 3-2.  Cruzeiro will play the same Dix Hills team in the State finals in two weeks. Cruzeiro is coached by Wilson Egidio.

MSC Crew (GU11) defeated Massapequa today, coming behind twice from a goal deficit, to win 3-2. This was the first appearance in the NY Cup finals for the Crew, and they made the most of it.  Crew is coached by Jess Selvadurai.

MSC 01 Titans (BU10) defeated a very strong BW Gottschee team, 3-2, to capture their second and consecutive NY Cup Championship. The Titans defeated Syosset last year, 4-2, to win their first NY Cup.  Titans are coached by Neri Amaducci.

Other Cup results -

MSC Sparta (BU19) lost to White Plains in the State Cup quarterfinals, 2-0, thus ending their Cup run for this year. Sparta is coached by Ronnie Shaban.

MSC Rebels (BU19) lost to BW Gottschee in the State Cup quarterfinals, 5-0, thus ending their Cup run for this year.  Rebels are coached by Sean Peckett.

MSC Villa (BU12) lost their State Cup semifinals match to NY Soccer Club, 1-0, thus ending their Cup run for this year.  Villa is coached by John Lathan.

MSC Santos (GU12) lost their NY Cup Final today, to a powerful World Class FC team, 2-1.  Santos trailed 2-0 at the half, but fought back strongly, to make it close, but ultimately fell short by a goal.  This was Santos' second NY Cup finals appearance in three years, having advanced to the finals in 2010, before losing to World Class FC.  Santos is coached by Pat Greene.

MSC Emelec (BU11) lost their NY Cup Final today, to a very strong HBC Allstars team, 4-1. This was Emelec's second and consecutive appearance in the NY Cup finals, but they failed to win the title both times. Emelec lost a heartbreaker to HBC Crush on a late goal last year, 2-1.  Emelec is coached by Freddy Fuentes.
