MSC U10 Sporting Win

The Manhattan U10 girls Sporting team went to the Scarsdale 2008 Memorial Day Tournament.  Sporting, accompanied with two players from the U9 Porto team, played 4 games.  Sporting won all 4 games, beating the Shrub Oak Stingrays, Larchmont Blue Rockets, ADFH Tri Town Twisters, and the Weston Navy.  Although Sporting won each game by at least a 2 goal margin, some of the games, especially against the Larchmont Blue Rockets, were especially hard fought, but that only seemed to increase the team’s desire to win.  Both the defense and offense played exceptionally well, passing with precision and clearing the ball even when it looked impossible. The girls played tirelessly, with intensity and great teamwork.  GO SPORTING!
